Product Details

Bilstein 5100 shocks utilize a monotube design, with a 46mm digressive piston, to increase road handling characteristics both on and off-road. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer between the shock oil to the shock body, and then dissipated further to reduce shock fade. German engineering combined with US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100k miles (real customer feedback!). The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.

Making the Greatest Truck Even Greater
Put these on my 2014 Tundra. Noticeable difference especially at high speed and washboard gravel. For under $1000, can't go wrong.

Bilstein Upgrade
The Bilsteins were purchased to replace some worn Rough Country N3s. The installation was straightforward with no difficulties. I also replaced the steering stabilizer with the matching one from Bilstein. The overall ride improvement feels solid. It is firm but smooth.

The Expert's Opinion

"Bilstein shocks aren't always the softest ride out there, but if you want precision handling, confidence at high speeds, and rock-solid stability under load, they're the best in the game.

They're built to perform. At Shock Surplus, we back every Blistein we sell – because we know they won't let you down"
