King Shocks Service - Reservoir Hose Replacement

Posted by Sean Reyes on

Reservoir hose orientation is one of those small changes that make a big difference in the wheel well. The 5th gen 4Runner has a KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) and non-KDSS model, which creates a layout change in the front wheel well for some coilovers.

This customer acquired a set of King Coilovers with reservoirs off of a non-KDSS equipped 4Runner, while his vehicle does have KDSS. The previous hose length and orientation would not work with the KDSS equipped vehicle with how the front sway bar was situated in the front wheel well.

In addition to rebuilding the shocks, we modified the reservoir fitting and hose length in order to properly mount the reservoir in the front wheel well.

Our Shock Service can:

  • Change reservoir hoses
  • Change / fix elbow or reservoir hose fittings to the shock
  • Add adjusters to the reservoir
  • Add electronic in-cab control to the reservoir (SDI E-CLIK)
  • Viton Seals
