Overview
Engineered to provide consistent steering damping with a through-shaft design, the new ICON Centerline Steering Stabilizer features an adjustable "Drive Zone" that can be custom-tailored to an individual'esired steering feel. Developed with a wide range of aftermarket JK components in mind, this stabilizer is a high clearance design with a rotatable reservoir that allows for fitment on all ICON lift systems as well as most other lifts on the market. In addition to providing steering damping without the push or pull associated with a traditional stabilizer, the ICON Centerline Stabilizer features an adjustable "Drive Zone" with 9 levels of damping that affects 110 degrees of steering wheel input to the left or right of center. This allows the end user to customize how tight or how loose their vehicle handles in the middle of the steering range.
This new Centerline Steering Stabilizer shares the same great build features as our proven ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks. These features include a clear anodized 6063 aluminum shock body for corrosion resistance and a 5/8" chrome plated hardened steel shaft for durability, premium 5WT shock oil that provides consistent damping characteristics across a wide operating temperature range , and a high temperature long wear seal pack that stands up to harsh conditions found both on and off-road. The CNC machined billet aluminum Centerline Stabilizer 1-3/8" tie rod clamp and rod end also feature FK Rod End bearings for precise and reliable operation.
Tech Info:
- This kit is intended for use with a 3-6" lift and will not work on a stock vehicle. A minimum of 1" bump stop spacer is required for adequate clearance.
- 4.5" kits and taller allow the reservoir of the stabilizer to be rotated straight up above the shock body. 3" kits require the reservoir to be rotated down behind the shock body.
- If using a heavy duty 1-5/8" aftermarket tie rod, oversized clamp kit (PN: 614525) must be used

The Expert's Opinion
"We've been big fans of Icon's total suspension approach since running the CDCV kit on our Tacoma back in 2017. Icon regularly provides the most travel in their shocks and suspension systems when compared to competitors, giving more lift height, or more usable travel."
INFORMATION
Questions? We've got answers
ICON shocks are tuned for performance-first ride quality, which means you can expect a ride that feels firmer and more controlled than stock, especially on the street. They reduce body roll, brake dive, and overall vehicle movement, giving your truck a more planted and responsive feel.
Where ICON really stands out is off-road. These shocks are designed to handle higher speeds and rough terrain, so you’ll notice excellent control over bumps, whoops, and uneven surfaces, with less fade during repeated impacts. Instead of feeling soft or floaty, the suspension stays composed and predictable.
Overall, ICON shocks are a great fit if you want a sportier, more aggressive ride with strong off-road capability. They may feel firmer than some comfort-focused options, but they deliver a high level of control and confidence both on and off the pavement.
Some ICON shocks are adjustable, but it depends on the specific model and series. Many of ICON’s standard shocks come with vehicle-specific valving and no external adjusters, designed to deliver strong performance right out of the box without needing tuning.
However, ICON offers several higher-end options with adjustability. For example, shocks equipped with CDC (Compression Damping Control) valves provide multiple levels of compression adjustment via a knob, allowing you to fine-tune the ride for different terrain or driving styles.
At the top end, ICON also offers advanced systems like CDXS or CDEV, which can provide more precise manual adjustments or even electronic, real-time damping changes based on driving conditions.
In short, not all ICON shocks are adjustable, but many upgraded versions offer a wide range of tuning options—from simple knob adjustments to fully electronic control.
Click the 'Select Your Vehicle' button above the 'Add to Cart' button to make sure the shocks fit your exact vehicle. If needed, the site will send you to the right shocks for your ride. If your vehicle has been lifted, use the dropdown menu to pick the correct lift height. For example, if you have a Rough Country 6-inch lift kit, choose Front 4–6" and Rear 3–4" (the rear is usually smaller than the front). Still not sure? Our sales team is happy to help.
ICON shocks are built as rebuildable, high-performance shocks, so their lifespan is a little different than basic “replace when worn out” shocks. For vehicles that are mostly driven on the street, you can typically expect around 50,000–80,000 miles before a rebuild is recommended to keep them performing at their best.
If your truck sees frequent off-road use, heavy loads, or aggressive driving, service intervals can come sooner—sometimes significantly sooner—since heat, dirt, and repeated impacts accelerate wear.
The key thing to know is that ICON shocks are designed to be serviced, not thrown away. With proper maintenance and periodic rebuilds, they can deliver years of consistent performance and continue working well long after that initial service interval.
