Shock Service - Icon Vehicle Dynamics 2.5

Posted by Sean Reyes on

Jeff gets into the oil and seals to give these 2.5 inch digressive shocks a refresh. One of the pain points with servicing Icon shocks is the seal head, and changing out the seal. We generally don't fuss with that because it's pretty tough, and instead replace the entire head, saving lots of time and QA process.

The pitted shafts were a no-brainer, once your shaft sees enough dings in the ride zone area, those microscopic burrs on the shaft wear on the internal seals, which lead to leaks and depressurization.

Take a look and let us know if you need Shock Service on any Fox, King, Icon, or Bilstein shock.

Icon Vehicle Dynamics shocks are performance-driven suspension components that offer improved handling, comfort, and durability for trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles.
